The Office of Substance Abuse is making aggregated data from the Prescription Monitoring Program available in limited form as provided below. (Researchers interested in delving further into the data can contact OSA about obtaining de-identified copies of the PMP database.)

This report was prepared by researchers at the University of Southern Maine to summarize results of extensive epidemiological analyses that they performed for a cooperative agreement with OSA funded by the Dept of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance.

The data tables and charts below reflect information on prescriptions that have been dispensed in Maine. The county locations of these prescription transactions are based on the address of the customer who received the prescription.

July 2006 through June 2007

(Note: the time period for the reports below specify the time periods during which the records were loaded into the database, not when the drugs were actually dispensed. Therefore, comparisons between these reports, from year to year, would not be valid.)
