Creating Sub-Accounts on OSA’s PMP Online System

(Prescription Data Portal)

An important feature of OSA’s PMP web site is a main user’s ability to create “sub-accounts.” This feature is especially attractive to physicians with busy practices. Once you have your own “Main ID” account, you can create “Sub-accounts” for other “licensed health care professionals” (e.g., nurses) who work for you. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to the Prescription Data Portal (http://www.maine.gov/pmp).
  2. Under the “User Admin” link, click on the “Add Sub-Account User” link.
  3. Following this link, you can create a new user ID by entering the required information. In the “User ID” field, enter what you would like the new ID for the sub-account user to be (the usual method is first initial, middle initial, and last name, all caps). Write this new User ID down. The “Main ID for SubAcct User” should already be filled in with your ID. Enter the remaining required information (marked with a red star), and click the “Submit” button.
  4. Once you have set up a sub-account, the new user’s password will be “password” at first, and that person can change his or her password upon first log in. (As usual, upon first log in, the default e-signature is “Sign” with a capital “S.”) The sub-account user must enter the Main ID as well as the e-signature on the Privacy Statement page before each search.

If you have any questions about these instructions, please call the Help Desk at 287-3363.

Note 1: The main user is legally responsible for any and all searches made by a sub-account user. Sub-account users should be as protective of their user ID’s and passwords as main account users. Main users should be sure that sub-account users are aware of and understand the Terms of Use of the system.

Note 2: The sub-accounts are not associated with the GHS system, so sub-account users cannot request paper reports from GHS.
