Creating Sub-Accounts on Maine's PMP Portal

An important feature of the PMP web portal is that main users can create "sub-accounts." This feature is especially attractive to physicians with busy practices. Once you have your own account, you can create "Sub-accounts" for other "licensed health care professionals" (e.g., nurses) who work for you. Here are the steps:

  1. Log in to the PMP Portal (http://www.maine.gov/pmp).
  2. Click on “Manage My Account.”
  3. Click on “My Sub-account Info.”
  4. Click the "Add" button and enter the required information (including the person's state professional license number). (The system will create a username for the new user.)
  5. Click the "Submit" button.

Once you have set up the sub-account, the new user will be sent an email with a password set-up link.

Sub-account users can be assigned to more than one main user account; if you want to assign an existing sub-account user to your account, click the "Add Existing" button.

If you have any questions about these instructions, please call the ME PMP Technical Helpdesk at 866-749-7838.

Note: The main user is legally responsible for any and all searches made by a sub-account user on his or her behalf. Sub-account users should be as protective of their usernames and passwords as main account users. Main users should be sure that sub-account users are aware of and understand the Terms of Service of the system.
