Attn: MaineCare Providers
January 9, 2014
Earlier today, the Department announced that it will not renew its contract with Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) broker, CTS, when it expires on June 30, 2014. CTS currently provides services in six regions: Cumberland, Western, Midcoast, Central, Downeast and Aroostook. Penquis and LogistiCare provide NET-brokerage services in the rest of the state. The continuation of the contract until its expiration will allow the Department to gather information from those who may be interested in brokering NET in the six regions currently served by CTS. During that time, the Department will continue to monitor CTS’ performance against contractual requirements, while CTS remains committed to providing rides to MaineCare members. MaineCare will provide more information to providers and members about any changes as it is available.
