As the school year begins, MaineCare would like to remind you of several resources available to keep you up to date on the latest information and guidelines for Section 28:
MaineCare Policy for Schools/Education listserv- You will receive emails with the latest information concerning news, announcements, and meeting or public forum notices about MaineCare policy and system changes that affect schools and education. Please click the link to sign up, and have this important information delivered directly to your inbox.
Dedicated email address for School/Education related providers- Do you have questions that are not answered by the listserv or do you need further clarification? You can email MaineCareInEducation.DHHS@maine.gov, and our education specialists will get back to you.
On-site training - MaineCare’s Provider Relations Unit has subject matter experts that are available to you for in-person training on topics such as policy and procedures, billing instructions, My Health PAS orientation, OMS internet services, as well as issues specifically requested by your team. In order to better meet your needs, schools are assigned by region. Please contact Gary Bell (207-624-6941) for schools located in Franklin, Oxford, Androscoggin, Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Cumberland, or York counties, or Mike Myers (207-624-6966) for schools located in Aroostook, Piscataquis, Somerset, Penobscot, Washington, Hancock, Waldo, Kennebec, Knox counties, or click the hyperlinks on their names to send one of them an email.
