Providers May Re-submit MaineCare Claims Rejected for “Homebound Indicator should not be used Outside of Medicare”

On 7/30/12, MaineCare notified you of an issue causing COBA claims to reject in error. If you have not received payment for COBA claims with Segment DTP (Date- Acute Manifestation), the claims may have been rejected. The edit causing COBA crossover claims to reject has been addressed, and these COBA claims will now be accepted.

You must resubmit claims that have previously been rejected. The Homebound Indicator and Segment DTP should be removed from the claim when resubmitting the rejected claims directly to MaineCare.
