MaineCare Benefits Manual, Chapter II, Section 21, Home and Community Benefits for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities or Autistic Disorder
August 16, 2011
The 125th legislature passed LD 28, now known as Resolve Chapter 49 requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to go to rulemaking to repeal a provision in Chapter II, Section 21. This was effective 7/1/10 and states that “members with disabilities should constitute no more than 50% of the business’s workforce at any given worksite or location”.
This notice is to inform you that the Department intends to undertake rulemaking soon to repeal this sentence and make other changes to Section 21. State law supersedes the MaineCare Benefits Manual.
