Unsubmitted Maintenance Cases

March 15, 2011

If you have an open maintenance case that has not been worked on for over 30 days, it will be deleted from MIHMS on March 21st. Please read the details below.

Many providers currently have unsubmitted maintenance cases on the Health Pas On-Line portal that are over 30 days old. We have found that the following are some of the reasons there are unsubmitted open cases:

• Some providers started maintenance cases at some point over the past year simply to view their enrollment (see "Check Provider File Details on the Portal - March 8, 2011" for the correct way to view your enrollment without opening a maintenance case). These providers do not need the old, open maintenance case. • Some providers completed a maintenance case, yet instead of going to the end to “Submit,” they chose “Save and Close.” The case is still open on the portal. • Some providers are still working on their open maintenance case.

The portal will purge open maintenance cases that haven’t been worked on for over 30 days. On March 21st, this purge function will begin operating and all maintenance cases that are over 30 days old will be purged.

If you have an open maintenance case that needs to remain open, please go to the portal and “Resume Enrollment” so that your maintenance case will not be purged. For all others, it is likely that you don’t need the open maintenance case and it will be purged in 7 days.

Once activated, this purge function will be ongoing, deleting all open maintenance cases that are over 30 days old.
