Excludable Income: Do not include any income from the following sources:
  • Personal SCSEP Earnings
  • Social Security Disability Income
  • AFDC, Child Support, Foster Care
  • General Assistance
  • Lump sum inheritances, insurance payments, gambling and littery winnings, tax refunds and money borrowed.
  • First $2000 of certain per capita fund distribution to Indians
    persuant to the Indian Claims Act
  • Inkind support from others (eg room and board), gifts
  • Military Disability Pensions
  • Training grants, stipends (e.g. JTPA)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Workers Compensation
  • Capital gains from sale of property, including stocks, bonds, a house, a car.
  • Unemployment Income
*Note: We count your Gross Social Security. We then deduct, automatically, 25 % from the total. You need to provide a current year award letter from Social Security showing your gross award.
