Money Management Program

In partnership with AARP (www.aarpmmp.org), this program offers money management services to individuals with lower incomes.  Older adults and people with disabilities work with trained volunteers who help them balance their checkbooks, write out their checks and organize their bills.  Participants sign their own checks and retain full control of their bank accounts and other assets.

2009 Income and Asset Guidelines

  • Single Person:  $24,837
  • Two Person Household:  $35,144
  • Liquid Assets:  $35,000

Notes: If a minor child is living in a household, you may add $4,680 to the income limit. In addition, if a developmentally disabled adult child lives in the household, you may deduct $7236 from the household income.

To find out whether this program fits your needs, please contact one of the agencies listed below to find a program in your area.  You can also learn about how to volunteer, refer a client, or get more financial information.
