MeCare IPRS Installation
Please read the following instructions completely before proceeding! You may want to print these instructions before proceeding.
Download IPRS Click this after you have read and understand the instructions below
  1. Only install this patch if you need to dial-up to MeCare
    Versions of MeCare connecting via the WAN or at EIM do not need to install this!
  2. When you click on Download IPRS above, a window will open asking you if you want to Open or Run it or Save it to disk  Select Open it
  3. You will then get a File Download window indicating the progress of the download. At the bottom of the window it will indicate Opened so far with a number followed by KB. You should expect the download to take a minute or so.)
  4. When the file is successfully downloaded, you will get a window with a yellow exclamation point indicating that a Windows application is attempting to open or install the following software component:

      iprs0507.exe from inet.state.me.us

    It will ask you if you wish to continue. Click Yes

  5. You will then get the installation wizard. It will ask you if it's ok to unzip the files to c:\program files\iprs. Click on the Unzip button. It should tell you that 10 files were unzipped successfully. Then click on the Close button.
  6. Then click on the Start button, select Run and type the following:
    c:\program files\iprs\setup.exe in the window to the right of "Open"
  7. It may ask you to confirm the modem that has been selected. Click "OK" until the IPRS intall completes. You should now be able to run IPRS by double clicking on the IPRS icon on your desktop.
