Welcome to the Mandated Reporter Training for
Suspected Adult Abuse and Neglect.
Training Purpose:
Understand adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation in Maine, and learn
about the system of laws and services that exists to respond to the problem.
Training Objectives:
- Identify the prevalence and scope of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of dependent or incapacitated
adults in Maine.
- Discuss the dynamics and the impact on individual victims and families.
- Describe the system of laws and services that exists to respond to the issues of
adult abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Confidentiality:
Clearly, abuse of any type is a very sensitive issue; therefore any materials,
cases, or situations used throughout this training will be de-identified to maintain confidentiality.
