According to the American Medical Association, as many as three million Americans over age 60 are alcoholics or have some kind of drinking problem.

This page was designed to assist elders and their loved ones in finding resources, information, and treatment regarding alcoholism and other substance abuse.

  • Maine and New England - A listing of state departments and organizations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
  • National and International  - A compilation of state and federal departments and organizations outside of New England and including Canada.
  • Internet - This page provides links to sites on the internet that are not directly affiliated with private, state, or federal organizations.
  • Research and Literature - A series of links to published articles and stories about the problem of alcoholism in the elderly.
