Child and Adolescent Needs & Strengths (CANS)

The CANS is a multiple purpose information integration tool that is designed to be the output of an assessment process. The purpose of the CANS is to accurately represent the shared vision of the child serving system—child and families.

 Effective immediately, when a Targeted Casemanager becomes certified in one (1) of the CANS assessments in Maine, they will be deemed certified for all five (5) CANS assessments. read more
