Residential Care

Long Term Care Services includes Residential Care facilities that provide shelter and personal care services for primarily older adults, also known as private non-medical institutions (PNMIs), Appendix C’s.

The State of Maine requires an assessment to determine an individual’s functional and financial eligibility for Residential Care Services. Assessments help individuals and families understand what services are available to them and to plan for service needs. The Medical Eligibility Determination Form (MED) is the tool approved by OADS Aging Services to be used to determine program eligibility. Assessments are performed by Goold Health Services.
