As a person providing care for a loved one, you are faced with an enormous amount of responsibility and work. Often there are no others there to help you, and you have little time to take care of your own needs. The OADS Aging Services oversees the Family Caregiver Program which provides education, training, support groups and respite for older adults, adults with disabilities and older adults caring for family members under the age of 18. One of the training programs available is Savvy Caregiver Training. If you are interested in more information about the Family Caregiver Program, please contact your local Aging and Disability Resource Center.
