Grievance Process Guide for Recipients of Mental Health Services
What is the Grievance Process?
The Grievance Process is a system of rules written to make
sure that your grievance is heard and responded to. The person
who files a grievance – you – is called the Grievant.
The agency, hospital or person against whom the grievance is
filed is called the Respondent. Both the Grievant and the Respondent
have the right to be treated fairly in the Grievance Process.
