Maine CDC, Division of Infectious Disease is pleased to announce the completion of the 2010 Local Health Officer Manual, which is now available at http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/mecdc/infectious-disease/lho/cresources.shtml. We are sending one (1) manual (hardcopy) to each municipality’s Local Health Officer. "New County Health Rankings (Robert Wood Johnson 2011) rank Oxford County the worst county in Maine for Health Outcomes for the second year in a row. In Health Factors (health behaviors, clinical care, social & economic factors and physical environment) Oxford County ranks somewhat higher. Franklin County ranks second in Health Outcomes, a slight drop from first place last year. Androscoggin County ranks twelfth.
