Family Advisory Council Home Page
Purpose: The FAC was established to advise the Children with Special Health Needs program staff on matters affecting families of children with special health needs including health care, insurance, education, transition to adulthood, independent living and employment.
Membership: Family Members of children with medical, mental, behavioral or emotional needs which require support greater than that of children in general. Members must demonstrate leadership within their community as well as an interest in building leadership skills.
Meeting Dates: The FAC meets quarterly.

The Children with Special Health Needs Program in Maine is housed in the Division of Family Health at the Center for Disease Control in the Key Bank Building at 286 Water St. Augusta, Maine 04333 – 0011. It is funded through Title V of the Social Security Act, through the Department of Health and Human Services under the Health Resources and Services Administration.
