Aroostook - District 8 Public Health Unit

Overview

Aroostook District’s Public Health Unit has already co-located in the DHHS offices in Caribou, though not with all the Maine CDC staff serving this District. In all they include:

• 1 Field Epidemiologist,
• 4 Public Health Nurses (PHNs) and 1 PHN Supervisor,
• 1 Drinking Water Field Inspector, and
• 1 Health Inspector/Sanitarian.

With no District Liaison, pro-active coordination of regional Maine CDC staff is yet to occur.
