District Coordinating Council Update (Word*) - March 11, 2011
The Downeast District has conducted the Local Public Health Systems Assessment (LPHSA). The purpose of this assessment process is to better understand the activities and relationships that make up the district public health system. The results will be used to identify strengths, challenges, needs, gaps, competencies and capacities of our district public health system and to develop a public health improvement plan with our partners. The format for the assessment is the performance standards assessment tool developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and will be facilitated by the Maine Center for Public Health.
For more information about the Assessment, please contact Al May at 255-2017 or alfred.may@maine.gov
