York - District 1 Public Health Unit

Overview

Maine CDC staff are co-located in the Public Health Unit and now meet together monthly at the DHHS Sanford office. They include:

• 1 Field Epidemiologist,
• 2 Public Health Nurses (PHNs) and 1 PHN Supervisor,
• 1 Health Inspector/Sanitarian, and
• 1 Drinking Water Field Inspector (sited elsewhere),
• 1 District Liaison.

The Unit completed strategic work on a structure, vision, mission, guiding principles, and foundational values using a shared leadership model.
