Community Health and Counseling Services Positions

One of the few combined home health and behavioral health care agencies in the United States, Community Health and Counseling Services combines mutually supportive programs and collaborative relationships with other health care providers to serve both the physical and psychological aspects of an individual’s well-being.

These services are offered in homes, schools, and the area offices of CHCS in central, eastern and northern Maine. The size of the CHCS service area in Maine covers over 22,000 square miles. That’s the combined size of New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Through a continuum of care and support, Community Health and Counseling Services touches the lives of thousands of people each year, providing needed services to people and their families in their community in a cost-effective way.

Executive Director
Community Health and Counseling Services

The Executive Director works in partnership with the Board and staff to provide leadership, vision and direction for our vital agency. Areas of responsibility include the overall administration and management of CHCS with active oversight of and involvement in clinical services, fiscal management, human resources management, public relations, fundraising and community relationship building.

Qualified applicants will possess:

  • Solid knowledge of Behavioral & Home Health Services
  • Effective communications skills
  • Proven record of success in strategic planning, fiscal oversight and program management
  • Masters Degree in Human Services and/or Administrative Sciences
  • 10+ years full time employment in progressive management levels
  • 5+ years as Director/Administrator/Executive Director of a multi departmental organization. Community oriented Human Service agency preferred.

Residential Clinical Specialists (2 full time postions)
Bangor

$29,294 up through $36,686 (depending on clinical licensure and yrs of experience)

Description:

CHCS has two full-time, masters level clinician, openings within their Bangor Children's Group Homes. Will provide clinical oversight as part of a treatment team, interview clients & assess needs for group care residents; provides direct services to children/ adolescents with behavioral & emotional challenges.

Requires:

Master’s degree in related discipline; one yr. related experience; Maine licensed or eligible for LMSW, LCSW, LCPC, PhD. and LMFT.

Family Clinical Specialists

Description:

Provides clinical oversight as part of a treatment team, interviews clients & assesses needs, & coordinates with community services; provides direct services to children/ adolescents with behavioral & emotional challenges.
