Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide is called the silent killer. It has no odor, taste or color. There have been four deaths in Maine in 2006 from carbon monoxide poisoning. Every year about 140 people in Maine go to the hospital emergency departments because of carbon monoxide. Every home in Maine should have a carbon monoxide detector. Most do not. NEVER operate a gas powered generator in the home, basement or garage.
