Call to Order:
Meeting
was called to order at 9:05 AM.
Approval of November
6, 2007 meeting minutes:
The
Commission made a motion to approve the November 6, 2007 minutes. Passed.
Commission
Discused:
The current financial standing of the Commission was discussed. Every July the Commission will review an
updated annual financial report.
Dean Getchell noted that information found on well caps or near pressure
tanks is added to his inspection reports.
This information is required by a recent sate law.
The Commission discussed charging for inspections when violations are
found. It was determined that this
would require change through the legislative process.
January 12, 2008 is the annual meeting of MGWA, at the Ground Round in

Complaint – Knowlton Well Drilling:
Additional information
is required concerning a well setback that was determined as part of another
investigation. A letter to Knowlton
Well Drilling shall be drafted requesting information regarding this well.
David Perkins vs. Merl “Sam”
Dunham Inc:
The Commission received a letter from David Perkins
asking to delay the ordered corrective action until next spring because the
camp is closed for the winter. The Commission approved extending the deadline
for completion of corrective action until June 30, 2008. Ike Goodwin made the motion which was
seconded by Ed Bowie. Written
verification that corrective action has been completed must be received by the
Commission by June 30, 2008 and Dean Getchell will inspect after the corrective
action is completed. Motion Passed

Wells Unlimted – Crane Well:
Corrective action on
hold until 3/31/2008
New Complaints
Kate Tufts, DWP vs Wells Unlimited: Problem, a replacement well was drilled
at the
The Commission was
asked to delay discussion of this complaint until the January meeting by Mr.
Wright, the Commission agreed. The
Commission will continue to collect information regarding this complaint.
Specialty Well Applications:

Exams requested:
Matthew
Morrill, Goodwin Well & Water, request to sit for the Journeyman Pump
Installers Exam.
Ike
Goodwin recused himself from voting.
Marc Loiselle made a motion to allow Mr. Morrill to sit for the exam, David
Braley 2nd the motion. Accepted by the Commission.
Timothy
Williams, Weeks & Sons Well Drilling
Glenn Dyer made a motion to allow Mr. Williams to sit for the exam and Ed
Bowie 2nd the motion. Accepted by the Commission.
Examinations

Business:
The Commission received an anonymous
complaint concerning a driller that may be installing a PVC well casing with no
Jaswell type seals which is a violation of 401.5.2
