Called to Order:
The
meeting was called to order at 9:10 A.M.
General Administration:
Meeting
Minutes: David Bartlett made a motion to accept the March
17, 2005 minutes, Alan Frasier 2nd.
The minutes were approved.
Financial:

2005, there are 28 people scheduled for Orono and 50 people scheduled for

Rule
Change Status: The Rule Change is in the process and will be
posted on the web site when ready.
ERG
Request for Proposals: The training for this year is going well with
10 classes in all and 3 of them completed.
The Board may join all the funded Drinking Water Program training into
one RFP for the 2006 training. The
Drinking Water Program would like to expand the training class to operators that would like to upgrade
their licenses to a class 2 or 3.

Updates on TCHs: On
hold.
Position
Vacancy: Terry Trott has received 28 resumes and the
interviewing will start the first week of July.
The position is funded by the ERG until 2008.
New
Business:
Operator
updates:
a) Systems in compliance: 2004 – 91%, last week 96% were in compliance.
Designated Operator Forms (DOF)
were sent with the exam results. 27 are
NTNC systems and 12 C systems.
b) Contract operations:
liability insurance is necessary for contract operators.
c) Recent correspondence:
i.
Operator duties
– ABC has a listing of “need to know” in water treatment and distribution and
distribution and treatment job analyses. If anyone needs the listing contact the DWP.
ii.
Minimum
Requirements – The classification of the operator depends on the requirements
of the system.
iii.
Cost to small
systems – One consumer felt the cost was too much. The Legislature stood behind the rules. The DWP did a break down of cost and informed
him they would work with him. The cost
in just slightly more having a licensed water operator.
