Introduction
There are many ways to protect your drinking water. This webpage introduces two valuable protection tools developed by the Maine Rural Water Association and the Maine Drinking Water Program. Those tools are the Best Management Practices for Wellhead Protection and the Model Wellhead Protection Ordinance. Both of these documents were designed to help guide policy and laws at the town level.
