Potassium Iodide - KI Policies

In 1997 the State of Maine instituted a Potassium Iodide (KI) stockpile program for accidents at the Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant.  Maine Yankee is no longer a reason for the stockpiling of Potassium Iodide because it no longer has the radioactive Iodine that the KI is to protect your thyroid from.
