The Division has responsibility for protecting public health through engineering provided services and oversight.The Director of the Division of Environmental Health is the State Liaison to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The Division is organized as follows:Division Administration (internal support, review and planning of the Division) Drinking Water Program (regulates public drinking water supplies) Environmental and Occupational Health Program (scientific evaluation of health risks for chemical and radiological exposure) Health Inspection Program (inspection/regulation of restaurants and lodging places) Wastewater Program (plan review and approval of septic system installation) Radiation Control Program (inspection/regulation of radiation sources)
