January 2007. We have added some information to our web page that you may find interesting. Learn more about Maine’s Hospital Licensing Initiative:

• Under ‘Medical Facilities Unit’ click on ‘Hospital Licensing Reform Steering Committee’ to read the charge of the committee and its 2007 schedule of meetings. The public is invited to attend.
• Providers and the Division of Licensing and Regulatory Services have been meeting since November 2006 in preparation for a rewrite of Maine’s Hospital Licensing Regulations.
• This initiative is a major undertaking and the Division appreciates the work done by the membership of the steering committee.
• This 24-month initiative is a collaborative effort following the principles in the Administrative Processes Oversight Committee Report.
