This is to make you aware of an announcement posted on Friday, December 21, 2007 on the FDA-CFSAN web page in regards to a voluntary recall by the New Era Canning Company of canned green bean product because of possible health risk.
The product may be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum. No illnesses have been reported as of December 21, 2007 in connection with this problem.

Proposed Hospital Licensing Rules
In order to implement 2 legislative mandates, the Division has proposed rules amending Chapter X [Nursing Services] and XII [Medical Records] of the current hospital licensing rules.
As many of you know, the Division is working with stakeholders to align hospital licensing rules with DHHS Administrative Procedures Oversight goals. In addition, by July 2008, pursuant to Public Law 2007, Chapter 314, Maine’s current state licensing rules for hospitals will be further amended.
