H1N1 information for Young adults ages 19-24 years of age

This is not the seasonal flu

Unlike the seasonal flu, young adults have higher risk for getting very sick with the H1N1 flu.
This may result in missing a lot of work or school, having trouble caring for your children if you have them, and increase the likelihood of passing the flu on to those you love.

Your health care provider may be able to give you the H1N1 vaccine. If not, go to http://www.maine.gov/dhhs/boh/maineflu/fluclinics/index.shtml to find a flu clinic.
You don’t need to have insurance to get vaccinated. The vaccine itself is being provided free. Some providers may charge an administration fee, but others will not be charging people who get vaccinated.
