Food Safety In Maine

Maine Interagency Food Safety Group

The Maine Interagency Food Safety is comprised of representatives from agencies within the Maine State government, including the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Department of Agriculture, Department of Marine Resources, Maine Cooperative Extension and the Department of Education. The goals of the group are to address issues related to the increased risk of foodborne illness, particular to Maine setting, and to enhance communication and collaboration between the various agencies and organizations involved in food safety. The group welcomes suggestions regarding food safety concerns for discussion.
