The mission of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)is to join with individuals, families, and communities to encourage and assist people with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders and substance abuse disorders to achieve good health and meaningful living. Most of our services available to Maine citizens are provided through BH regional offices or through contacts with over 250 private agencies throughout the State.

Behavioral HealthRegional II Offices work closely with local families, community service providers, and civic groups.Region II serves individuals and families in Androscoggin, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Sagadahoc, Somerset and Waldo Counties.
