Simulation Name: Reading Process Information
Simulation Mode: Test me

Scenario: Processes in EIS are like electronic checklists. They ensure that the appropriate steps are taken in order to complete a task and also serve as a status check for other users in the system to see how far a person is in the process. An example of a process is an Intake process. Certain steps and particular forms are necessary for an intake to be completed. This is automated in EIS through the Process component. In this lesson, you will be tested on how to view process information for a process that has already been started.

Step: Click PROCESSES in the EIS Menu "Hot Area" PROCESSES in the EIS Menu
User Prompt: You have already anchored your person (Mick Mouse). Access their processes.

Step: Click underlined process NAME "Hot Area" underlined process NAME
User Prompt: Access details for 'MM's Intake Process'.

User Prompt: View the Process General page. This page shows some high level details for the process. You can also see the first five steps for the process listed at the bottom of the page. Access details for Step #3.

Step 1: Select 2. Create Client Tracking Record from the PROCESS STEP drop-down drop-down list.
Step 2: Click GO button "Hot Area" GO button
User Prompt: View the Process Steps page. Notice the white area at the top of the screen. This white area is the same for each step of any process. It gives you some basic information on the process step. Go to details for Step #2 - Create Client Tracking Record.

User Prompt: This is a different step in the same process. Notice the three yellow bars at the bottom of the screen. All process steps will have the first section (Other Information Resources). That is used when more information for reference is available for viewing. It is simply an "FYI" section. The next section is titled "Activities for this Step" and you may or may not see activities listed for a particular step. Usually, activities are those things that need to be done to complete a step that take place outside of EIS. And lastly, the third section changes from step to step and sometimes is not even listed. It houses records that were created as part of the process. In this example, a client tracking record was created. View details for the client tracking record.
