In a separate attachment to the e-mail containing this edition of the “MR EIS Communicator”, there is an update regarding the important assessment – “MR Services and Supports Received.” This assessment is key to providing critical data for the new legislative session that has just begun. The strategy for implementing this assessment is reviewed as well as the current status on a number of processes and assessments. There are also proposed reports that will provide information needed for legislative decision. Please read and send questions that you may have.

Supremely Important
Each Regional Access Coordinator has been given a list of staff members who have not completed prerequisites for access to the EIS. They have been instructed to remove these staff member’s access until prerequisites are met.

Important Notes:
EIS Logon from the Maine State Homepage is active. This logon is outside the state firewall and only requires your user ID and password. The website address is: Check EIS at bottom of index.

Most Important
When working from your home computer, you must not save any confidential information on your computer. This would be considered a major breach of security and subject to appropriate discipline.

Reminder Notes:
Relationship addresses and contact information are still not available. WE realize the significance of not having this information available. This information is in the program but opening it for use and editing is a critical concern. A proposal has been put together Again stay tuned to the alerts prior to login and future editions of the MR EIS Communicator.

Please be alert for a notice announcing the start of completion the MR Services and Supports Assessment. Please the section “Where Do WE Stand.”

Please do not complete the Common Dx and RX Assessment at the present time. It is not complete. LOV’s for diagnosis and medications are being developed to add to the assessment. This is a high priority completion item.

Operation Reminders:
January 3 – HAS 3’s Training on the MR Services and Supports Received – Augusta – Greenlaw Computer Lab – 10:00 am – 3:00 pm.

January 6-10 – MR and Muskie Trainers prepare the Phase 2 Training by working through all MR processes and related assessments, plans and reporting forms. Review and revise training materials.

January 13 – 31 – Muskie staff will finalize and prepare the instructional materials for the Phase 2 training. MR trainers will hold practice sessions. Terry will start office-by-office visit to review data issues and concerns.

February 3- 27 – Phase 2 training will occur.

January – March – MR Staff Developers (Training Coordinators) will begin and complete provider training on PCP Action Plan Reporting and related documents, and reportable events reporting.

Remember Notify the Helpdesk of any problems – Each problem will be sent to the appropriate OIS staff for resolution. It is fine to copy me since I receive all MR related problems.
