Cooperative Extension Service - University of Maine System

The Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Maine System conducts a variety of programs in communities throughout the state such as:

  • Pre-Retirement Planning
  • You and Your Aging Relative
  • Cooking for 1 or 2
  • Nutrition Education

The Extension Service develops intergenerational programs within nursing homes and boarding homes. They sponsor the Senior Companion Program in Androscoggin, Aroostook, Cumberland, Hancock, Kennebec, Oxford, Penobscot, Somerset, Washington and York Counties.
