| SUBJECT: | Rate increases for Chapter III, Section 96, Private Duty Nursing and Personal Care Services, Maine Medical Assistance Manual and Program Caps. |
Effective for services delivered on or after July 1, 2000, the rates of reimbursement for home health aide and certified nursing assistant services under Chapter III, Section 96, Private Duty Nursing and Personal Care Services, shall be increased to $7.90 per half hour. PL99, Chapter 731, Part BBBB appropriated funds to increase wages for home care workers.
In addition, the following program caps for the levels of care shall be increased effective July 1, 2000 as follows:
| "At Risk" level of care annual cap is: | $12,720. |
| monthly cap is | 1,060. |
| "Nursing Facility" level of care annual cap is: | $44,316. |
| monthly cap is: | 3,693. |
| "Extended" level of care annual cap is: | $241,200. |
| monthly cap is: | 20,100. |
