Nutrition Education

Registered Dieticians and other nutrition professionals are available to present nutrition education to groups of older people. Nutrition topics are varied and can be tailored to a group's needs. Topics include:

  • Eating for a healthy heart
  • Eating 5 fruits and vegetables daily
  • Reducing fat
  • Fiber for better health
  • Calcium and osteoporosis
  • Nutrition and cancer prevention
  • Managing diabetes
  • Nutrition and dental health
  • Food safety
  • ... and more

Contact your local area agency on aging at 1-877-353-3771 to see if arrangements can be made to have a nutrition consultant speak to your group.
