Maine Advisory Council on Elder Affairs
The purpose of the Maine Advisory Council on Elder Affairs is to:
- Advise the Director of the Bureau of Elder and Adult Services (BEAS) on matters affecting Maine’s elder citizens.
- Advocate for older persons.
- Provide a forum for discussion of services provided by agencies serving Maine’s elderly.
The Council consists of representatives from the five Area Agencies on Aging, Legal Services for the Elderly, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program and two at-large members.
