This Early Memory Loss Family Support Group is for you!

Caring for a person with memory loss presents many challenges such as:

Getting a diagnosis when your loved refuses to see a doctor
Finding better ways to communicate with your loved one
Deciding when your loved one is unsafe to drive or be left alone
Coping with your own frustration and sadness
Finding time for yourself

A support group is a great place to grapple with these sorts of issues. In the company of people facing the same situation, you can share your thoughts and feelings and get practical ideas.

The Maine Alzheimer's Assocation, in cooperation with Maine Medical Center, is pleased to offer a new support group for families whose loved ones are either in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia or who are undiagnosed but exhibiting significant memory loss.

When:	1^st and 3^rd Wednesdays of the month, 3:30 to 5:00 PM
Where:	McGeachey Hall (4th floor), 216 Vaughan Street, Portland
Cost:	FREE
