Patricia Aho, the Commissioner of the DEP, will provide practice tips for professionals representing clients before the DEP. This program will address preparation for and participation in the various licensing and compliance proceedings that a regulated entity may typically encounter. Examples will include multi-permit situations which may be coordinated at the Office of the Commissioner, suggestions for preparation of technical materials prior to meetings, and practice tips related to the differences between rulemakings, licensing or compliance situations. Drawing from her experience in both the private and public sectors, the Commissioner will provide pointers for avoiding some common pitfalls and achieving positive outcomes. (60 minutes)
