Maine DEP uses Remedial Action Guidelines (RAGs) to determine when contaminated sites need to be cleaned-up, establish clean-up goals, and to determine when clean-up is complete. The Remedial Action Guidelines have been updated for 2019 with a variety of substantial changes. Join us in at DEP's Southern Maine Regional Office on April 24, 2019 from 9am-1pm in conference room 4 for an introduction to Maines RAGs. This training will cover the following topics:
- What are the RAGs, and how are they used?
- Where do the RAGs come from?
- What happened to the maximum exposure guidelines?
- What are the next steps in the petroleum RAG update
- What are we planning for the next RAG update?
