(MS Word document) Hazardous & Oil Spill System Online Report Service - This system is designed to enable web users to access the basic oil and hazardous materials spill data contained within the department's main spill reporting database. Users will be able to search for spills by spill number, spill date, town where the spill occurred and whether a spill involved an aboveground or underground petroleum storage tank. In addition, they will be able to conduct a keyword search. Downloadable Tables from Tanks and HOSS Databases Information from the TANKS and HOSS databases is in the form of tables. The tables need to be downloaded to a user's database to be useful. Users should be familiar with relational databases. Be sure to look at the "Read Me" files associated with the tables before utilizing the data. The Maine DEP GIS Unit is now offering selected data, geographically referenced, from a number of the Department's databases to the public via Google Earth. You will need to have Google Earth installed to view this data.
