Maine Fluorescent Lamp Study

Final Report - (Microsoft Word format) (pdf format) - December 19, 2001 - The focus of this study was to determine total mercury content of certain common fluorescent lamps and whether or not lamps that are represented by manufacturers as "TCLP-complaine" contain sufficiently lower amounts of mercury to warrant an exclusion from Maine solid waste disposal ban.

Follow-up Study - (Microsoft Word format) (pdf format) - September 5, 2002: This follow-up study was conducted to answer the question of data variability for total mercury results reported in the ME Fluorescent Lamp Study completed in 2001.
