Mercury Containing Lamp Policypu

The 1996 mercury-containing lamp policy has been superceded by the passage of the Department's Universal Waste Rules, which became effective on January 23, 2001. The Bureau of Remediation & Waste Management is presently preparing a fact sheet on how the rules pertain specifically to mercury containing lamps.

Visit our Hazardous/Universal Waste page to learn more about the new legislation, and to view excerpts from the changes to Chapters 850, 851, 853 and 857 of the Hazardous Waste Management Rules.
