Bingham Wind Project
Blue Sky West, LLC and Blue Sky West II, LLC, are proposing to develop a 62-turbine, up to 191-megawatt wind power generation facility in Bingham, Mayfield Township and Kingsbury Plantation. The project will include up to five temporary meteorological towers, up to five permanent meteorological towers, a 34.5 kV electrical collector system, an electrical substation and an Operations and Maintenance building. In addition there will be a 17 mile 115kV transmission line running from Kingsbury Plantation to a CMP substation in Parkman. The turbine towers will have a maximum height of approximately 512 feet.

Hancock Wind Project
Hancock Wind, LLC, is proposing to develop a 18-turbine, 54-megawatt wind power generation facility in T22 MD, T16 MD, and Aurora. The project will include two 105-meter meteorological tower, a 34.5 kV electrical collector system, an electrical substation and an Operations and Maintenance building. The turbine towers will have a maximum height of approximately 512 feet.

Bowers Mountain
Champlain Wind, LLC, is proposing to develop a 16-turbine, 48-megawatt wind power generation facility in Carroll Plantation and Kossuth Township. The project will include a 90 meter-meteorological tower, a 34.5 kV electrical collector system, an express collector line, an electrical substation and an Operations and Maintenance building. The turbine towers will have a maximum height of approximately 459 feet. The project will include 3.0 miles of new 24-foot access roads and 4.0 miles of new 35-foot crane paths.
The Department will hold a public hearing for this project.

Passadumkeag Wind Park
Passadumkeag Wind Park, LLC, is proposing to develop a 14-turbine, 42-megawattwind power generation facility on Passadumkeag Mountain in Grand Falls Township. The turbine portion of the project is located entirely within property currently used for commercial forestry operations. The project will include:
- Upgrading approximately 17.5 miles of existing transmission line
- Constructing approximately 1.5 miles of new roads for construction of and access to the project
- Constructing a substation and an Operations and Maintenance building in Greenfield, Maine.
Transmission lines will follow existing roads for all of the distance from the turbines to the transformer. The turbine towers will be approximately 459 feet from tower base to the top of the extended blades. The project will have 97.38 acres of devleoped area upon completion, with 21.47 acres considered impervious are.

Canton Mountain
Canton Mountain Wind, LLC, is proposing to develop a 22 megawatt, 8 turbine wind power generation facility on Canton Mountain in the Town of Canton. The project will include:
- upgrading approximately 3 miles of existing roads
- constructing approximately 2 miles of new roads for construction of and access to the project
- constructing a transformer station and an Operations and Maintenance building
Transmission lines will follow the new and upgraded roads for most of the distance from the turbines to the transformer, and will follow an existing transmission corridor for the final 5,800 feet. The turbine towers will be approximately 448 feet from tower base to the top of the extended blades. The project will have 9.6 acres of developed area upon completion, with 9.0 acres considered impervious area.

- At the applicant’s request, the application review process for the Canton Mountain Wind Project has been placed on hold. It is anticipated that the applicant will request the review to be reopened in November, at which point the Department will be scheduling a second public meeting which will be publicly noticed and listed here.
