ArcGIS 10 Training

Through the State of Maine's Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) with Esri, state employees can take unlimited Esri Virtual Campus classes for free.

If a course description on the Esri web site lists a price then just contact the Maine OIT Help Desk via email or phone (624-7700). Request on access code for GIS Training on Esri's Virtual Campus and list the course(s) you are interested in.

ArcGIS 9 Training

GIS Training classes with MEDEP specific data and workflows were developed for ArcGIS 9. It is still made available here but there will be inconsistencies for users who have upgraded to version 10.

All classes are best viewed at screen resolutions 1024x768 or higher.
All classes are based on ArcInfo license for ArcGIS 9.0.  ArcEditor or ArcView licenses may not be able to complete all portions of the training.

Our GIS training materials are available for download to the public at no cost, with the following stipulations:

  • MEDEP GIS staff will not offer support of any kind to non-MEDEP users for any training materials.
  • All MEDEP GIS training is financed by the State of Maine, and as such all works are the property of the State of Maine.
  • All MEDEP GIS training materials available from the MEDEP GIS web site may be reproduced and used at will.
  • No MEDEP GIS training material may be copyrighted or restricted in any way.
