Gulf Island Pond Working Group
Introduction
Under authority provided by PL 2003, C.257 (LD 1137), the Department is developing a proposal that resolves the long-standing issue regarding water quality standards for Gulf Island Pond. Because of the considerable interest in this process, DEP has pledged to ensure ample opportunity for public involvement. This page was created as part of that commitment.

May 13, 2005 - Final Androscoggin River Total Maximum Daily Load (Gulf Island Pond - Livermore Falls Impoundment) submitted to EPA
- In accordance with section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act, on May 13, 2005, the Department submitted the Androscoggin River Total Maximum Daily Load for Gulf Island Pond and the Livermore Falls Impoundment to the Environmental Protection Agency for review and approval.
