Maine Stream Team Program

Introduction

The Maine Stream Team Program (MSTP) is a network of people concerned about Maine's streams as well as a clearinghouse of information intended to support stream protection activities. A "stream team" is a group of people who have banded together to promote stewardship of their local stream.

Newsletter and Hot Topics

• Newsletter Archive - current and past issues. A collection of information related to stream and river education and conservation including stories submitted by local groups, a calendar or events statewide, funding opportunities and updates about the Maine Stream Team Program.
• Field Guide to Aquatic Phenomena. Photos and descriptions of colors and objects you may encounter in waterbodies. (offsite: University of Maine)
• Invasive Plants and Animals:   Maine DEP, Maine DIF&W, Maine Center for Invasive Aquatic Plants.
• Riparian Zone (Streamside/Shoreland), Forested Buffer, and Stream-Friendly Landscaping Information. Info and links related to these important topics.
