History

The Board of Environmental Protection (BEP) finally adopted Chapter 500 and 502 on November 4, 2004 (the existing versions were repealed and replaced). The Maine Legislature approved the rules, with some amendments, through Resolve Chapter 87. The BEP adopted the final rules on September 22, 2005. The effective date is November 16th, 2005.
